ABOUT

Perpetuum Jazzile is known as one of the most spectacular and biggest vocal groups across the globe. It was established in 1983 and today it is celebrated as YouTube’s most watched large vocal group in the world with over 50 million views (with mesmerizing vocals-only rendition of Toto’s Africa at the forefront). The critically-acclaimed vocal orchestra heralding from Slovenia is popular for its powerful rhythms, rich harmonies, unparalleled creativity, and special blend of pop, jazz, gospel, blues, disco, funk and bossa nova. Perpetuum Jazzile performs mostly a cappella with 30 to up to 50 members. They also incorporate vocal percussions; a human beat-box with an incredible array of simulated drums and electronic beats, as well as the group’s choreographed hand and body movements that simulate storms and visualize other phenomena. Perpetuum Jazzile’s powerful repertoire includes arrangements of songs by Toto, Daft Punk, David Guetta, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind & Fire, Billy Joel, ABBA, David Bowie, Joni Mitchell, George Benson, and more musical legends. However, original compositions have also an ever growing place in Perpetuum Jazzile concert program.

The group’s remarkable history and distinct musical styles have generated sold-out concert crowds of up to 10,000 people, raving reviews, and a series of hit songs.

What do they say about Perpetuum Jazzile

“When I wrote Africa I never dreamed of hearing such an innovative rendition. All I can say is awesome!!!! I am truly honored that you not only would arrange a choir version of the song but the time and effort into creating REAL MAGIC! I have NEVER received so many emails from artists, friends and colleagues on a singular performance of a song. I know my co-writer, Jeff Porcaro, would have shared the same feelings. I know my band, TOTO, does. Thanks for such a wonderful gift.”
(David Paich, TOTO)

“Perpetuum Jazzile did a spectacular job of my three Earth, Wind & Fire songs. Incredibly original and seriously sounded great!”
(Allee Willis, Grammy Award-winning Songwriter)

“David Crosby, of Crosby, Stills and Nash, has heard your choir through several clips on the internet. He was very impressed with your arrangement of Toto’s ‘Africa’. Mr. Crosby thinks your choir is wonderful and would like to suggest a couple of pieces of music to you, as he believes you would do a great job with them, and would enjoy them as well.”
(Cree Miller, David Crosby Management)

“A vocal and visual carpet ride. Infinitely refreshing.”
(Wade Jessen, Billboard Magazine)

“Perpetuum Jazzile is the most stunning vocal group on this planet. They combine musicality, perfectionism and the right touch for music and sound. They are the orchestra of voices. Seeing them live is an experience you’ll never forget.”
(Björn Teske, General Manager of DEAG Music, Berlin)

“When I first saw Perpetuum Jazzile in Slovenia I was thrilled. So far I have promoted in my life more than 20.000 concerts with the biggest artists of the world and from the first minute on I knew Perpetuum Jazzile will make their way to the top and will become one of the most successful groups of the world. They represent the future of our business.”
(Hermjo Klein, A. C. T. Artist Agency, Frankfurt)

“A distinct pleasure … for crowds of all ages.”
(Gabe McNatt, Live Nation)

“I have been a fan of this untouchable vocal group for years, and to see them live magnified my respect 100 times.”
(Tony Conway, Conway Entertainment Group)

“I am a producer for ABC News Good Morning America. We love the video you posted of your choir performing the thunderstorm recreation. Would you grant us permission to air your video?”
(Emily O’Donnell, ABC News Good Morning America)

“Love your music. What are your plans to tour the US? Would love to meet in New York City.”
(Harvey Leeds, Live Nation)

“The rock band Toto scored their biggest hit with ‘Africa’ in 1982. It’s been reinvented by Perpetuum Jazzile an a cappella jazz choir from Slovenia. Their version may best the original. The beginning of this video is really striking. Group members simulate an African thunderstorm with their hands. It’s really something to see and hear.”
(Kim Komando, American talk radio host)

“Eurochannel is a cable and satellite television channel dedicated to the best of European Music and cinema. We would like to contribute to the extraordinary Perpetuum Jazzile success”
(Gustavo Vainstein, Chairman/CEO, Eurochannel)

“I’m the producer of a show on The Weather Channel in the U.S. Your choir reproducing the sounds of a rainstorm is amazing! I’d like to get permission to show it on the air on our popular program, “Wake Up With Al (Roker).”
(Patrick McConnell, producer, The Weather Channel)

2015-2012 review

2015:
At the forefront of the intensive year 2015 for Perpetuum Jazzile have been new program preparations for one of the biggest entertainment corporations in the world. Its event took place in December in Paris, where Perpetuum Jazzile performed as the main music act in a circular configuration in the middle of the arena. Just weeks before the Paris event Perpetuum Jazzile was most honoured to be invited to hold two concerts at an International Performing Arts festival 2015 in Guangzhou, China at the amazing Guangzhou Opera House. Aside of a series of exciting concerts at home and abroad, one of the greatest highlights of the year have also been three Vokal Xtravaganzza 2016 concerts in Ljubljana, where Perpetuum Jazzile shared the stage with fantastic Swingle Singers from London, UK.

2014:
Months after the two nights of resonating Perpetuum Jazzile 30th jubilee arena concert celebrations in front of the total audience of 20,000 people, Perpetuum Jazzile Manager Bostjan Usenik called the group’s jubilee year a career milestone and priceless challenge for the vocal ensemble. By the end of 2014 Perpetuum Jazzile would again take the spotlight of global audience with a new live arena concert DVD and bluray as well as a live CD album. “The time is ripe for us to bring our live concert to people’s homes across the globe,” he said. “Not only do we offer innovative vocal renditions which have moved such top artists as David Paich of Toto, David Crosby, Allee Willis (etc.), as well as celebrities such as Harrison Ford and Jeff Bridges, PJ also brings to people unanticipated rich sounds and an energy one would expect only from a rock concert. We hope watching our concerts over TV will persuade masses to attend our concerts in person. The unparalleled sensation PJ’s mesmerizing vocal ecstasy is not to be missed!” The highlight of the 2014 season was Perpetuum Jazzile Germany 2014 Tour, which consisted of 8 concerts in Leipzig, Dresden, Munich, Reutlingen, Kempten, Stuttgart, Mannheim and Freiburg.

2013:
In the first months of 2013, Perpetuum Jazzile focused its work on the USA concert tour preparations, taking place in March, 2013. It consisted of 12 live concerts in the eastern states of The United States and 5 live TV performances out of which the most important one garnered over 5 million viewership nation-wide. Besides the US tour preparations Perpetuum Jazzile had already started the premiere concert program preparations due to be presented to the general audience at the two biggest concerts in Ljubljana arena in November, 2013 and due to be broadcasted over the national TV. In the new repertoire a number of new arrangements from the music mentor Peder Karlsson as well as original songs from the singers had been included in the concert program. The second half of 2013, the primary focus of the group has been the preparation for the two sold-out arena concerts in front of 10,000 audiences each. Besides the release of a new jubilee CD compilation named “Thank You For The Music”, the highlight of the season were undoubtedly the aforementioned two arena concerts named “THE SHOW”. They were attended by a total of 20,000 people, recorded and broadcasted by TV Slovenija, which resulted in a live DVD, live bluray and live CD album coming out in the second half of 2014.

2012:
The majority of Perpetuum Jazzile work had been focused on production of a new studio CD and DVD called “Vocal Ecstasy” in the first months of 2012. The March release of the both new music products in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia was followed by a series of promotional activities of the group – mainly TV performances at ARD, ZDF, and SAT1 TV stations in Germany with a total viewership of around 10 million veiwers – with a target to promote Perpetuum Jazzile’s first concert tour in Germany from October to December of 2012, which would consist of 16 concerts across the country. The production and promotional activities have naturally been accompanied by the new concert program development alongside a number of new songs from the group of different arrangers – from Italy, Denmark, Sweden and Slovenia. One of the 2012 highlights has been a concert at Ohrid, Macedonia Summer Festival, which Perpetuum Jazzile prepared a special song for.
Closely after that the group travelled to Stockholm, Sweden, to attend and perform at one of the most prominent vocal festivals in the world The Real Group Festival. The most important part of the domestic concert season was Perpetuum Jazzile’s own traditional “Vokal Xtravaganzza” concert series in Ljubljana, where Perpetuum Jazzile shared the stage with one of the most prominent voval groups in the world Rajaton from Finland.
